Hello, everyone! I want to apologize for not posting as regularly lately. The past couple weeks have been fairly busy for me, but I plan to make up for lost time by sharing a few extra posts.

It's hard to believe we're already several days into Advent (it began on December 3rd this year). If you're not very familiar with what Advent is, I'd encourage you to check out the posts I wrote around this time last year. To be honest, I've been feeling distracted and scattered recently, and haven't been as intentional about reflecting on the significance of this season as I would like. Between now and Christmas, though, I desire to make this more of a priority.

I don't feel like I have anything especially profound to share with you. However, as I was thinking and praying the other day, "Isaiah 25:4" popped into my mind. I wasn't familiar with this verse, so I googled it. Here's what it says:

"You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat." (NIV)

Isn't this stunning? When I first read it, I was amazed by how well it speaks to the power of Advent and a God who chooses to humble Himself and live among us. He is the Healer whose heart breaks for those who are suffering.

If you're able, I'd encourage you to find time today to sit and read all of Isaiah 25. It's a powerful passage to reflect on with Jesus. As I personally read it, I found myself thanking God for all the ways He's comforted and protected me. I also sensed Him inviting me to welcome Him into my current areas of tiredness and pain. This is something I'm still processing...

Praying you're able to find space to rest and breathe this week, friends.❤️
