Hello friends! Once again, I want to highlight some artwork that has inspired me.

I know very little about visual art. However, I believe images can be immensely moving. I want to be intentional about celebrating photography, painting, etc., in this blog, along with music and storytelling.

Today I want to share the work of Jamin Still. He is a painter, as well as the author and illustrator of Tales of Hibaria: The Awakening and Ellen and the Winter Wolves. Many of his paintings are inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia. I haven't read any of his books, because I actually just found out about his work last week through rabbitroom.com.

Here's the link to his website as well as a couple of his pieces that I particularly loved. As I mentioned before, I don't know much about visual art, so I can't attest to the quality of his work. I love his whimsical, dreamlike style, though.

By now you've probably noticed that I can't write a post without somehow incorporating a Bible verse into it. So here's a passage that's been on my heart this week. :)

"Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—

those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,

those he gathered from the lands,

from east and west, from north and south.

...Let them give thanks to the Lord for

his unfailing love

and his wonderful deeds for mankind,

for he satisfies the thirsty

and fills the hungry with good things."

Psalm 107: 2-3, 8-9 (New International Version)

(Also...if you're not aware of what's been going on at Asbury University since last Wednesday, I'd encourage you to check it out. I've been twice in the past several days, and in my opinion, it's absolutely incredible.)

As always, I hope you have a wonderful week. Jesus truly does love you so deeply and personally. I'm praying that you (whoever you are and wherever you're at in your faith journey) will experience that truth in beautiful new ways.
