I know I already shared a post this week, but I keep thinking about the lyrics to "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

I heard the bells on Christmas day Their old familiar carols play, And wild and sweet the words repeat Of peace on earth, good will to men.

I thought how, as the day had come, The belfries of all Christendom Had rolled along th’unbroken song Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And in despair I bowed my head: “There is no peace on earth,” I said, “For hate is strong and mocks the song Of peace on earth, good will to men.”

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: “God is not dead, nor doth he sleep; The wrong shall fail, the right prevail, With peace on earth, good will to men.”

Till, ringing, singing, on its way,

The world revolved from night to day,

A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,

Of peace on earth, good will to men!

If you're walking through grief this Christmas, or are struggling to find joy on a day when everyone is celebrating, I pray that these words would comfort you. I know they've encouraged me.

Here's a link to a modern version of this hymn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBIbeqQ213I

Merry Christmas, friends! :)

Oh I love this too!!!! Those of us who are blessed seem to forget at times how many

lonely people are finding it difficult to snuggle through the holidays. Please keep writing.

Now that I have more time if you don't mind I want to share your blog with so many friends

and family who will be blessed by your writings. Thank you1
