Hello, friends! I want to share another brief Lent-related thought with you. Between now and Easter, I'm going to be posting multiple times a week. It's fine if you don't get around to reading everything I write! I just have some extra things I'd like to say related to this season.

I found this incredible list of Old Testament prophecies fulfilled through Jesus on newtestamentchristians.com. Thought you might find it interesting!

(I chose an image of a lightbulb for this post because many ancient Jews probably dreamed that the Messiah would be a light in their darkness. In John 8:12, Jesus refers to Himself as "the light of the world". I know He has been the Light in my story.)

Hope this encourages you! :)

"He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain...Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."

- Isaiah 53: 3-5 (New International Version)
